Spirit Photography and Spiritualism in the 19th Century

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: In this multimedia lecture, Frank Todaro will delve into the origins and societal impact of “Spirit Photography” and the spiritualist movement of the1800s. Expect tales of high-strangeness, 19th century charlatans, presidential hauntings and true unknowns as we explore this at-the-time mysterious new medium... pun intended.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Frank Todaro (Transformers, The Cuphead Show) is an LA based voice actor and freshly baked fellow ham. For the good part of 10 years, back in his native NYC, he hosted the science/paranormal based radio program “The Invisible World”, through which he would often give presentations at live events, prattling on about things that go bump in the night, woosh across the sky or rummage through your garbage after hours.

ABOUT THE CLUB: Founded in 1925, the Los Angeles Breakfast Club still thrives with food, friendship, and fun. Our meetings are held in our clubhouse, Friendship Auditorium, located at 3201 Riverside Drive, near the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard, in Griffith Park. Best described as a variety show, attendees enjoy a catered breakfast, silly songs, club traditions, and an interesting presentation from a guest speaker.
