About the event
ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: In 1921, Charles See opened the very first See’s Candies store at 135 Western Avenue in what’s now Koreatown in Los Angeles. And from the very start, it was a hit. By 1925, Charles' dream had exceeded even his expectations. Los Angeles had no less than a dozen See’s shops, including one at Grauman’s famous Chinese Theater. In 1928, See’s even began offering a motorcycle delivery service. Movie stars and celebrities rushed to experience Door Dash — 1920s style!
Today, See’s Candies has been making quality chocolate and candy for over 100 years, and now has over 200 shops across America and a flourishing online store. Join The Los Angeles Breakfast Club on September 25 to learn how this family business became a global confectionary icon!
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Andrea Blackman's journey with See's Candies began in June 2023, marking the start of a sweet chapter in her professional life. Andrea's role as a Field Sales Representative involves Volumes Saving sales, Corporate Gifting and Fundraising.
