After being discovered in a Memphis record store due to his resemblance to Elvis Presley, moved to New York City to become a teen idol. There, he received Gold Records, was signed by multiple labels, appeared in thousands of teen magazines, and... became a member of New York's reigning mob family when he was "adopted" by crime boss Joe Colombo. But Jimmy lost it all when Colombo was shot three times and left for dead -- Colombo's assailants went after Jimmy, the FBI hounded him, and so... he left his lavish New York life and moved to Japan, with some help from Pat Boone.
